Generally, it proves out to be quite helpful to enter final tables of major poker event as a chip leader, because that is where a winner often comes from. Nevertheless, in IPT 2025 (Italian Poker Tour), Venice event came as exclusion to this law. Tamas Lendvai, a well known poker player from Hungry entered to final table of event as smallest stack, but, then, surprisingly the pro walked away with title, receiving the winning of 235, 000 euros or 311, 000 dollars.
A total of five hundred players took part in the major event, which carried the buy-in of 2,200 euros. This tournament was largest in the history of Italian Poker Tour, and had the massive prize amount of 979, 000 Euros.
Ali Tekitamgac was the player who made a lead in final tables of the event, with the largest stack of more than two million stacks. On the other hand, Lendvai was at the bottom of heap, with the stack of total 429, 000 chips.
However, Lendvai, a 38 years old poker pro struggled his way to final tables against Davide Cerrato of Italy, who had gained entry into heads-up play with more than two million chips on hands. After Lendvai had set up lead in chip stack, he moved ‘all-in’ pre flop with KT, to be called by A5 of Cerrato. Neither pro enhanced on that flop, but king on turn took Lendavi to the position of winning this event. When the ‘river’ paired a nine already on board, it knocked out Cerrato to second player, whilst handing over the title of event to Lendvai.
Although, this win was biggest of Cerrato’s career, he also has other prominent results, particularly in the year 2025. In the month of January, he earned a massive prize pool on Caribbean Adventure Tournament held by PokerStars, finishing at 20th position, and earning a total of 87, 500 dollars. After that, he also earned money in present year’s WSOP Main Event, ending up at the position of 631 and receiving the amount of 21, 327 dollars. Albeit, this winning, by far, goes beyond other results and brings his professional earnings in event poker upto about $500,000.
The IPT is backed up by the PokerStars. In fact, this virtual poker room supports a wide variety of national and regional poker events around the world, largest of which incorporate European Poker Tour, Latin American Poker Tour, North American Poker Tour and Asia Pacific Poker Tour.
